Have you or your child been struggling with reading social cues, anxiety when plans change, or repetitive behaviors?
Have you or your child been having difficulties with changes in routine, sensory sensitivity, or making connections with others?
Have you been told that you or your child may benefit from Autism testing?
As people in the society become more and more aware of neurodiversity, we also see an increase of information and personal experience sharing about autism. Autism is a neurological developmental condition that presents itself in various ways. Previously, Asperger's syndrome was commonly discussed as a diagnosis by itself. Now we refer to various symptoms of Autism as on the spectrum of Autism or Autism spectrum. Given that Autism is a neurological condition, it requires a comprehensive neuropsychological testing for psychologists to make diagnostic impressions.
At Sunburst Psychology, we offer Autism testing to help you gain insight about you or your child's neuropsychological functioning. The more we understand you or your child's unique strengths and challenges, the better we can identify resources and strategies to help you or your child to thrive in this modern society.
You can find detailed information below about our Autism testing service. If you cannot find answers to your questions, please don’t hesitate to email us.

After completing of intake paperwork, you will meet with your clinician for a clinical interview. Depending on your goals for testing, the clinical interview can range from 1 to 2 hours. Your clinician will gather information about you or your child's symptoms, struggles, strengths, history. This will help the clinician better understand your concern and prepare a series of tests that works best for you or your child.
Test Administration, Scoring, and Writing
For test administration, we use questionnaires, interactive measures, self-complete measures, and information gathering from people who have close observations of you or your child to help us paint a comprehensive picture of the functioning, strengths, and weaknesses. After the testing, your clinician will spend time scoring the measures, reviewing the results and information gathered, and writing a comprehensive report on the questions you’d like an answer through assessment.
Feedback (in-person or virtual)
Once your clinician finalizes the report, we will contact you to schedule a feedback session. During this 55-minute session, your clinician will walk you through the results, share you or your child's strengths and weaknesses, answer the questions you have for the testing, and make recommendations according to the results. You can ask any questions you have during the feedback session and will have access to a copy of the final report afterwards.
